At Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance, I was part of the marketing team. I created advertisements for insurance agents throughout the state of Indiana. I worked with the agents to make sure the advertising was exceptionally designed. I learned about branding and working directly with clients.
I designed personalized postcards for insurance agents that completed Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance’s professional insurance training program, like Travis T. Wottring.
Throughout the summer, I had the opportunity to design t-shirts for different events, such as county fairs and golf outings. The shirt design above was created for an insurance agent that hosts an open golf tournament.
I had the opportunity to be on the other side of a newspaper and design newspaper advertisements. This was a color quarter-page advertisement that went into a local paper. The difficulty in this advertisement was fitting all the agents’ photos within the space while making the photos large enough to view.
I helped out other areas of the marketing department, which includes the agent managers. Brian Bongen, the life insurance specialist at Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance, asked me to design a new email header for the weekly updates sent to the life insurance agents. This was something that I designed that was creative but also simple.
